Weighbridge Operator About Us: Land and Water Remediation are looking for a Weighbridge Operator to join our team at the Rainham Lagoons. We are restoring a wetland habitat, re-using material generated from our in-house dredging operations on the Thames, and major infrastructure projects. Our main site activity utilises our own wharf to unload and transport materials from barges and managing the disposal of those materials once onsite.The site has had permit & planning approved for a soil-washing facility. We are looking to strengthen our small existing site-based team, to be able to deliver the operational & statutory requirements. About the Role: We’re currently looking for a Weighbridge Operator to join our busy and dynamic team. This is an essential role ensuring the efficient and accurate flow of materials in and out of our site. Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Be Doing: As our Weighbridge Operator, your daily duties will include: * Weighing and recording inbound and outbound materials (e.g. soil, aggregates) using the weighbridge system. * Accurately documenting weight measurements, material types, and other relevant data. * Communicating effectively with drivers, site supervisors, and team members to coordinate material movement. * Carrying out visual checks to ensure materials are as expected and reporting any irregularities. * Operating weighbridge software and equipment, and reporting any faults or maintenance needs. * Keeping the weighbridge area clean, safe, and compliant with signage and safety protocols. * Providing polite and professional service to all drivers and visitors on site. * Supporting site safety by following health, safety, and environmental regulations. * Handling admin tasks such as generating reports and maintaining accurate records. * Assisting other site staff as needed and contributing to a supportive team culture. What We’re Looking For: To succeed in this role, you’ll need: * A minimum of 1 year of experience in a Weighbridge Operator role. * Good IT and software skills, especially for recording and tracking material data. * Strong communication and teamwork skills. * A proactive attitude and attention to detail. * The ability to work safely and follow site procedures.
