About the Role
We are seeking a Working Foreman to oversee and coordinate our construction projects. This is a hands-on leadership role, ensuring projects run smoothly, on schedule and to a high standard. You will be responsible for supervising a site team, managing daily operations, and keeping the project on track.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced foremen, as well as those with site or supervisory experience looking to take the next step in their career. Formal qualifications are beneficial, but we are equally interested in candidates with practical knowledge, drive and ambition.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate on-site construction activities.
* Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within agreed timescales.
* Manage and support site team, subcontractors, and suppliers.
* Monitor project progress and report to management.
* Maintain site organisation, including materials, deliveries, and equipment.
* Uphold health & safety standards at all times.
Requirements
* Previous experience in construction and/or site supervision.
* Strong organisational and leadership skills.
* Ability to problem-solve and keep projects moving to schedule.
* Driving licence essential.
* Willingness to lodge away from home when needed (typically 4 days / 3 nights work week).
Desirable (Not Essential)
* Relevant construction / civil engineering qualifications.
* Experience reading and working from technical drawings.
* Knowledge of site health & safety procedures.
