We are the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK, a specialist software/technical consultancy providing new bespoke solutions to solve our customers complex operational problems. As our business continues to grow, we are looking to recruit a Business Development & Growth Manager to join the Central Government team.
Role Location
You can work from any of our 5 offices in the UK (including Bristol, Cheltenham, Manchester & London) or from home, you decide. The role will however require regular trips to meet customers across the UK as required.
The Opportunity
The Central Government area forms one of our four Business Streams within IIG. Based on our excellent record of accomplishment and growing market share in adjacent markets such as National Security, Law Enforcement, Borders, Citizenship, Critical National Infrastructure and Defence, we have set ambitious but achievable targets for significant growth. As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for an experienced Business Development and Growth Manager to deepen current relationships with our key customer stakeholders and set out a plan to expand into new areas. Alongside our consultancy services, this will include identifying and delivering genuine opportunities for expansion for our cloud platform and related AI services.
The core focus for the role will be to identify, establish and maintain strategic stakeholder relationships with existing and new clients and partners – influencing and guiding them towards a mutually beneficial relationship with CACI and providing an “informed” pipeline of opportunities for the client success and business development leads. You will develop top tier “Client friend” relationships, leveraging contacts and domain understanding to provide senior stakeholders with a “go to” person for Digital and Data Technology delivery guidance at CACI.
This is a broad ranging and fascinating role which involves account management, client relationship management and business development skills. Reporting to the Central Government Account Director, you will be part of the Central Government Leadership team, working to identify new areas of work and creating an integrated campaign plan to achieve continued and sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
* Driving Business Growth: Engaging in pro‑active Business development to secure sustainable and profitable opportunities, supporting revenue growth within the Central Government sector.
* Expanding the Pipeline: Horizon scanning government and civil service priorities to Identify new opportunities to grow the Central Government pipeline
* Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain client relationships within the Central Government customer base.
* Shaping Opportunities: Proactively influence and shape new opportunities with customers and partners.
* Developing Market Propositions: Collaborate with Central Government Technical Leads and IIG’s Technical Leadership Team to develop market‑ready propositions that align with IIG’s capabilities and client needs.
* Strategic Execution: Contribute to and execute the Central Government Strategy, Customer Engagement Plan, and related marketing initiatives in collaboration with the Account Director.
* Targeting Growth Areas: Identify and pursue clients and opportunities within Central Government, aligning with short and long‑term growth objectives.
* Building Partnerships: Establish and manage partnerships with external organisations to support account goals, ensuring mutual benefits for the client, partner, and Central Government.
* Cross‑Team Collaboration: Engage with wider IIG teams to deliver competitive bids, ensuring the right internal and external resources are in place for success.
* Bid Planning & Delivery support: Work closely with the Account Director to execute competitive bids, leveraging internal resources and strategic partners. Supported by a dedicated Bid Manager and Bid Writer as required.
* Sales & Capture Management: Oversee business development input and execution across pre‑bid, bid, tender and account management processes within the full sales cycle.
The Fit
As an experienced Business Development and Growth Manager, you will already have highly successful, well‑established relationships with the full variety of the Central Government customer base. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to grow the stream’s influence through consultative engagement, maintain stakeholder relationships and broaden CACI’s reputation and footprint within the sector.
The Business Development & Growth Manager will be expected to meet customers at various locations across the UK as required.
Due to the industries we work in, we require all our team to be able to obtain security clearance. To qualify for this, you must be a British passport holder and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.
