Job Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Tape and Jointer for an ongoing project in Stafford. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality tape and joint finishes on a variety of internal plasterboard surfaces, ready for decoration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Applying jointing tape (paper or mesh) to plasterboard joints and seams
2. Spreading multiple layers of jointing compound (filler) over taped areas and screw holes
3. Sanding and smoothing surfaces between coats to achieve a clean, even finish
4. Installing and finishing corner beads on external angles where required
5. Ensuring all work meets finishing standards ready for paint or decoration
6. Identifying and correcting any defects or surface imperfections
7. Following site health & safety procedures and maintaining a tidy workspace
8. Liaising with site supervisors and working effectively within a team or independently
Requirements:
9. Proven experience as a Tape and Jointer
10. CSCS Card (valid)
11. Own tools and PPE
12. High standard of finish and attention to detail
13. Ability to work efficiently and to deadlines
14. Reliable, professional, and punctual
