Pipefitting - Skills Trainer/Assessor (EL796)

We are seeking an experienced Construction Skills Trainer/Assessor to support learners and apprentices completing Pipefitting and Construction-related qualifications. The postholder will assess practical skills, knowledge, and behaviours in a workplace environment, ensuring learners develop the competencies required for safe and effective groundworks operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging, high-quality training and assessment in pipefitting up to Level 3, both in the workplace and in the classroom.
* Support learner progress through assessment in the workplace and curriculum delivery.
* Ensure timely achievement of apprenticeship frameworks and standards.
* Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons in line with college policies.
Person Specification
* Level 3+ vocational qualification in a relevant discipline.
* Industry-relevant pipefitting experience (minimum 2 years).
* Assessor qualification, or a commitment to attain one.
* Knowledge and understanding of awarding body standards and requirements.
* Understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion in work and the learning environment.
* Experience of working in further education.
* Up-to-date occupational experience.
* A full current driving licence, use of a car, and insurance for business purposes (role based across multiple sites).
