Your Role
As a GIS Technician, you'll be an integral member of our Digital Delivery team. Your mission? To provide exceptional GIS services that transform data into meaningful insights. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:
* Ensure high accuracy in GIS data creation, management, and analysis.
* Support the advancement of GIS solutions that benefit the wider Kier business.
* Deliver training on GIS software and applications as needed.
* Prepare maps, reports, and relevant information for stakeholders.
* Capture location assets using various technologies and GPS tools.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
* Possess a high level of IT competency, including experience with Microsoft Office and complex SQL databases.
* Have hands-on experience with ESRI ArcGIS products across desktop, server/web, and mobile devices.
* Understand asset management principles and have knowledge of GIS application development and spatial analysis.
* Stay updated on trends and developments in the geographic information systems field.
Working Conditions
Location: Birmingham
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (some flexibility available)
Salary: £27,000 to £29,000, depending on experience
