The Salvation Army provides support and emergency accommodation for homeless adults within the Glasgow Area. We are looking to recruit highly motivated Support Workers to join our team in Wallace of Campsie House Lifehouse comprising of 42 flats and 10 bedsits.
Key Responsibilities:
The role of Programme Manager with the Salvation Army is an inspirational one and key to managing staff achieving successful outcomes for vulnerable clients with multiple complex issues. The successful applicant will be highly motivated and dynamic in ensuring we develop and deliver high quality programmes and support which promote client choice and control. Our aim is to address client support needs, enabling them to achieve positive life changes and empower them to lead more sustainable lifestyles.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
1. Hold a level 4 in Health and Social Work or willingness to work towards it
2. A belief and understanding of the Core Values of the Salvation Army.
3. High degree of knowledge and experience of the main support needs commonly faced by homeless
4. and vulnerable clients
5. Good knowledge and understanding of benefits systems, including Universal Credits and Housing
6. The skills and ability to manage and support a team of support workers dealing with very challenging
7. Knowledge of preparing and monitoring Budgets
