Dorset Healthcare is seeking an enthusiastic and flexible Administrative Team Assistant to join the Poole Adult Community Mental Health Team. This role requires an experienced individual capable of providing excellent administrative support within a busy mental health environment.
The successful candidate will receive support from an experienced Team Leader, along with comprehensive training and resources to succeed. Regular supervision and annual appraisals will be provided, encouraging continuous improvement and idea-sharing.
Key responsibilities include providing secretarial and administrative support to clinical staff, managing patient appointments, attending meetings, and supporting other departments as needed. The role demands resilience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
Applicants should have a solid administrative background, experience in secretarial duties, and proficiency with Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel). Good time management, organisation, and attention to detail are essential. The role involves maintaining patient records in RIO, adhering to data protection and GDPR legislation.
The working pattern is 5 days a week, from 08:30 to 17:00, with a one-hour lunch break. Employment requires an Enhanced DBS check, which the Trust will cover. Applicants subscribed to the DBS update service can present a valid certificate.
