About the Job: We are looking for an enthusiastic Warehouse Operative to join us in order to enhance our Warehouse team. The purpose of this role is to undertake the movement of product, packaging, and other materials through the operation utilising powered pallet trucks (PPT), Reach & Counterbalance forklift Trucks, including vehicle unloading, put away, movement to the packhouse, packed product movement to consolidation/marshalling and vehicle loading. Towards the end of your shift, you’ll ensure that all produce, packaging, trays, and pallets are cleared from the packhouse and returned to the correct storage area. Emptying bins, removing containers for a waste product, recycling, and taking unrecyclable packaging to the compactor area are also within your remit. By complying with our pre-shift check routine, you’ll be responsible for carrying out routine inspections of your truck and returning it to the charging bay, ready for the next day. Our perfect Warehouse Operative would have: Experience in a similar role. Good communication, literacy, and numeracy skills. Experience in working with scanner systems (desirable).
