We are seeking a dedicated Finance Administrator/Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our team and support our financial operations.
Job Description
As a Finance Administrator/Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and contribute to the financial health of the company. This role is perfect for someone detail-oriented and passionate about finance.
Key Responsibilities
* Process supplier invoices and credit notes with accuracy and proper authorisation.
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
* Manage and post expense claims from 30 employees.
* Prepare and process payment runs.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchase ledger records.
* Assist with month-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
* Support the Head of Finance with various accounting tasks and projects.
* Respond to supplier queries promptly and professionally.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience in a similar role (Purchase Ledger Clerk, Accounts Payable, Finance Administrator). Minimum 2 years in a previous finance function.
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, particularly Sage.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proactive approach to problem‑solving and process improvement.
* Self‑discipline and a focused work ethic.
REQUIRED
1. Ability to work legally in the UK and we do NOT accept student visas.
2. At least 2 years of relevant professional qualifications, such as AAT fully qualified or ACCA.
3. Good written and spoken English.
4. Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in a similar role.
