The role
We’re seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to join our Strategy, Planning and Performance (SPP) team on a 6‑month contract. This role will support the delivery of a key data project while also contributing to the day‑to‑day operation of our BI environment.
You’ll work at the intersection of data, technology and stakeholders – helping translate complex data into meaningful insights that inform decision‑making across the University.
What you’ll do:
* Develop, maintain and enhance BI solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
* Collect, transform and analyse data to support reporting and decision‑making
* Work closely with technical and analytical teams to deliver robust, user‑friendly insights
* Support the delivery of data projects, ensuring high‑quality and accessible data outputs
* Contribute to user training, documentation and the uplift of self‑service BI capability
* Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions
* Support BAU reporting and analytics activities within the SPP team
About you
* Experience in Business Intelligence development, ideally with Power BI
* Exposure to (or strong interest in learning) Microsoft Fabric or similar modern data platforms
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain data insights to non‑technical audiences
* Proven stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative approach to delivery
* Ability to manage competing priorities across both project and operational work
