Responsibilities
* Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 2 curriculum, with a focus on preparing pupils for their transition to secondary school.
* Supporting pupils’ academic progress, particularly in core subjects like English, Maths, and Science.
* Assessing and tracking pupil attainment, identifying areas for development and providing targeted support.
* Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, resilience, and independence.
* Preparing pupils for SATs, including revision strategies and exam techniques.
* Collaborating with colleagues and parents to support pupil wellbeing and development.
* Managing classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a safe and productive learning space.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
* Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum
* DBS on the Update Service
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A nurturing and enthusiastic approach to teaching
