The Opportunity We are looking for an Events Manager (Recreation & Community Programmes) who shares our passion and is ready to play a key role in delivering inclusive, high-quality gymnastics events for diverse communities across the UK. Main responsibilities As part of our dedicated Events Team, you'll: Lead and deliver national recreational festivals and competitions, working closely with delivery partners, clubs, volunteers, and venues. Create positive experiences by ensuring every event is safe, welcoming, and well-organised for participants, spectators, and staff. Coordinate planning and logistics, including venue bookings, equipment, volunteers, officials, accommodation, and marketing materials. Act as the onsite Event Manager, supporting a smooth and enjoyable event experience for all involved. Line manage and support the Events Officer & Events Systems Officer, providing day-to-day guidance, encouragement and professional development. Support the delivery of major gymnastics events, with a focus on inclusive practice and operational excellence. About you We're looking for someone who can demonstrate: Experience managing events or community programmes, ideally in a sport, leisure or arts setting. Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle priorities and adapt when needed. Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including experience working with a wide range of people. A collaborative, solutions-focused approach and a willingness to get involved at every level. Knowledge of gymnastics or other participation-based activities is preferable A relevant qualification in event management (or equivalent experience) is desirable but not required.
