Mechanical Fitter
Salary £15.00 per hour + over time at 1.5, Yate, BS37, Monday to Friday 40 hour week, 8.00 - 4.30pm, temporary initially with opportunity for a Permanent role, 28 days holiday (incl bank holidays), pension, parking.
An opportunity to join a friendly manufacturing team in Yate with a growing order book as mechanical fitter, pump fitter, equipment assembler. This is in a workshop environment building equipment for a range of customers, reporting to the workshop supervisor you will receive full training on the companies range of equipment.
The mechanical fitter, pump fitter, equipment assembler role involves
* Assembling high-volume water pump systems and associated components
* Following technical drawings and build specifications
* Complete work in a timely manner and to meet the equipment build time line
* Extensive use of conventional hand and power tools
* Electrical wiring and connection of pre-built wiring looms and connectors
* Knowledge of 12v /15 v equipment for wiring DC motors
* Functional testing and fault finding to ensure compliance with quality standards
* Complete necessary QC paperwork following successful test procedures.
* Identify and report any non-conformities or potential improvements in the assembly process
The mechanical fitter, pump fitter, equipment assembler position would suit a candidate with the following skills
* Good mechanical fitting experience with previous equipment build and assembly
* Any Pump fitting or hydraulic experience would be of particular interest but not essential
* Knowledge of electrical wiring and connection
* A mechanical or electro mechanicalapprenticeship or technical training and qualifications would be of interest but candidates with time served experience are also suitable
* Previous experience with cranes or lifting gear would be useful but not essential
* Attention to detail and ability to problem solve independently
* Previous experience with forklifts is of interest but not essential
