Our client is looking to expand their Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture team. An initial 6-12 month sub-contract opportunity is available for a Naval Architect in the Plymouth area. Someone with understanding of ship stability, structural behaviour and marine systems. Job Description The Naval Architect will work together with the customer to maintain and develop dockyard capabilities that support the safe and efficient operation of ships, boats and marine systems. This role may include but is not limited to: supporting assessments, conducting small craft or dock surveys, contributing to marine system design and modifications, supporting mooring and stability calculations and producing technical documentation to enable operations and development activities across the dockyard. Key Responsibilities: Undertake naval architecture analyses, including mooring, stability, towing and structural assessments, for vessels and floating infrastructure.
