Medical Administrator – Medical Centre
Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a Medical Administrator to join our team delivering first‑class administration services to Armed Forces personnel.
About the Role
Contract: Full Time – Fixed Term
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Pay: £24,637.57 per annum
Location: HMS Excellent, Whale Island, Portsmouth, Hampshire, PO2 8ER, England.
Position Overview
Based in the Medical Centre at HMS Excellent, the Medical Administrator provides a broad and flexible service supporting the administration of medical services for the Royal Navy. The role may rotate through various responsibilities and training can be provided where appropriate.
Main Responsibilities
* Serve as a dedicated day‑to‑day focal point for medical services administration, liaising with clinical staff and patients.
* Arrange and coordinate Medical Centre appointments, hospital visits and review boards.
* Maintain and protect patient‑related data, capturing and inputting information in the medical administration system.
* Comply fully with Health and Safety Regulations and General Data Protection Regulations.
* Support and cover for other staff members as directed by the Line Manager.

* Well‑organised, precise, confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
* Versatile, proactive, persuasive, responsive to changing business needs and calm under pressure.
* High integrity, persuasive verbal and written communication, and the ability to develop close working relationships.
* Experience in administration with strong organisational and motivational skills.
* IT literacy and strong working knowledge of MS Office; familiarity with MOD medical administration applications desirable.
* Good standard of education.
Additional Information
* MOD security clearance and a DBS Standard check are required.
* Proof of right to work in the UK is essential.
* Contract involves a 37.5‑hour working week, Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 17:00.
* Approved company workwear must be worn.
