As Resident Medical Officer, you'll play a crucial role providing on-call cover for Cygnet Hospital Hexham, our 27-bed mental health facility for women with complex mental health needs. The hospital is built to meet the latest national specifications for improving mental health within a therapeutic environment.
Main duties of the job
The RMO is the doctor covering on-call shifts between 5pm and 9am on weekdays and from 9am to 9am during weekends. Generally, the RMO will work on a rota of 4 days on / 3 days off each week.

We are looking for someone who is...
* Fully GMC registered & MBBS (or equivalent)
* An excellent clinical decision-maker with sound judgment, risk management skills, and knows when to ask for help
* Preferably experienced in Psychiatry
* A team player in a multidisciplinary environment
* A clear communicator able to assess, treat, and document medical notes effectively
* Committed to ongoing professional development
