Position: HR Business Partner Location: Manchester, Preston or Glasgow (With Hybrid Working) Salary Guide: £50,000 - £60,000 Plus Car/Allowance and Excellent Package Our client is a leading Engineering Contractor which operates throughout the UK delivering projects within the water sector and they have a new opportunity for an HR Business Partner for their offices/projects in the North of England and Scotland. You will partner and offer support to the business in all aspects of HR, focussing on succession & talent, learning & development, coaching and delivering our People Plan within your regions. Key responsibilities: Working with the central teams to implement key initiatives relating to areas such as talent, performance management, diversity and inclusion, wellbeing. In partnership with managers take ownership of implementing the people plan. Coaching Managers and individuals. Maintain positive relationships with the central HR functions. Managing all employee relations issues in your regions (disciplinary, grievance, performance management, sickness absence etc) Support the Recruitment team in future talent processes such as graduate recruitment. Undertake and support HR project work as identified Work closely with the L&D team to provide support in the co-ordination of training & development for managers and their teams in line with performance management tools. Work with L&D team to ensure key deliverables are met, monitored and reported. Maintain a positive and solution-oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback. You will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong influencing skills a flexible approach, pro-active self-starter, action orientated, resilient with a can-do attitude. Skills, Experience and Qualifications: You will either have experience as a Senior HR Advisor looking to utilise your skills and grow into an operational HR Business Partner position or you will be a successful HR Business partner looking to be part of a high performing HR team. Ability to build and maintain core business relationships with key stakeholders Extensive senior Advisory/Partnering experience within a professional Human Resources function High level of educational achievement Extensive experience of implementing policies and procedures Knowledge of employment law principles Excellent Microsoft skills; to include minimum intermediate level excel and word CIPD qualified to at least level 5 You will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong influencing skills a flexible approach, pro-active self-starter, action orientated, resilient with a can-do attitude Desirable: Understanding and experience of manpower planning, resourcing. benchmarking and metric delivery Experience in an Engineering / Construction environment
