Job Title: Finance and Administration Support Officer
Reports to: Office manager
Depot: Romford
The main purpose of the Finance and administration support officer is to maintain all aspects of purchase pricing and perform specific finance functions as outlined below. You will need to be able to multitask and prioritise your own workload as well as be able to keep information confidential. This role will allow you a deep understanding of how the business works and allow you to build working relationships with all levels of staff.
The main duties of the role:
• Create & maintain all supplier price lists
• Actioning supplier price increases and ensure margin is maintained
• Ensuring any Government increases are actioned and reviewed
• Create & maintain overall COST and SELL price lists
• Resolve pricing queries relating to supplier invoices
• Liaise with Manchester buying team
• Create and maintain supplier & customer retro price lists including any relevant reporting
• Set up bi-monthly promotional activity, price lists and pop-ups
• Prepare supplier retro reports and accruals
• Set up products in Defacto
• Liaise with suppliers and respond to requests
• Maintain allergen information in Defacto plus any specific product information (ABV etc)
• Maintain Fixed Assets and depreciation within Defacto
• Reconcile control accounts
• Maintain SECR reporting for Carbon measurement
• Support with adding new products onto Defacto
• Month end finance journals and processes
• Excellent computer skills, including all programmes within the Microsoft package, preferably advanced Excel
• Proven experience of working within a busy role
• Experience of working as an administrator
• A strong and assertive style to time management
• A detailed understanding of Hills Prospect
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
