Job Description
We are currently looking for a Director of Global Project & Implementation Delivery to join our team. As a key member of the Leadership team, you will be responsible to oversee expert teams that are responsible for:
* Successfully deliver CHAMP projects based to plan within agreed scope, time and budget
* Drive the customer implementation of the different CHAMP product-related projects and assist the different Product Management and Sales teams during the implementation process by providing business consultancy & training to existing & newly acquired customers.
* Develop and maintain CHAMP Academy training materials and the associated offered services for all of CHAMP services including developing training courses & material for CHAMP’s internal use (i.e. HR)
* Direct the PMO team to support the various Global Project Delivery teams in their day-to-day activities
* Drive continuous improvement in terms reviewing existing processes within the department and cross-department with the aim of increasing efficiency and customer responsiveness.
As a senior leader you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of the group whilst being an active contributor to the wider CHAMP company strategy.

Responsibilities
The position holder will be accountable for the accomplishment of following tasks & responsibilities that are performed by respective teams:
Project Delivery
Pre-sales & contracting:
* Support the pre-sales process through provision of delivery approaches and timelines for project implementation proposals.Support pre-sales presentations as needed.
* Create estimates to support financial cost projections for projects and present at commercial review boards as needed.
* Own the definition of scope, lifecycle, deliverables and other related subjects for contract statement of works and related contractual documentation.
Delivery:
* Regularly monitor project delivery progress and ensuring objectives and milestones are met
* Ensure our customers formally accept our deliveries and the completion of projects, where defined
* Represent CHAMP on project governance boards, providing oversight and positive direction
* Ensure customer satisfaction with our deliveries
* Cooperate with the other teams, as needed, to secure resourcing for projects
* Ensure PMO maintains internal SharePoint presence, Team Resourcing, Configuration of Project Management tools, Project Auditing, Management of the PMO’s Continuous Improvement process, Liaison with Finance representative for Project Invoicing and Payments, ad hoc requests for information from other CHAMP teams and Senior Management.
CHAMP Academy
* Manage a team of eLearning experts who develop and maintain Academy training materials and the associated offered services for all of CHAMP services including developing training courses & material for CHAMP’s internal use (i.e. CHAMP University - HR). This includes managing 3rd party suppliers both internal and external.
* Ensure the team delivers the Academy courses, to internal and external parties, at the highest quality.
* Given the team is managing 3rd party eLearning software providers, ensuring that the delivery of the courses can adapt to CHAMP’s customer requirements (e.g. delivery via web-based training courses or integration of course material with Customers’ LMS) at the most cost-effective price.
Implementation Consulting
* Manage a team of experts that deliver customer training and implementation consultancy at the highest quality. This includes:
* working with the CHAMP project managers to successfully complete the implementation of CHAMP products and solutions.
* working with Product Management to ensure that the product evolution meets the customers’ needs. Test and accept product modifications against customer specifications.
* Ensuring the team is able to assist in sales activities by providing product demonstrations whilst participating in the exercise of customer audits / health checks.
* Ensuring that the team is kept up to date on the air cargo best practices and how CHAMP’s products meet these best practices.
* Ensuring that the team is collaborating with the CHAMP Academy team to further improve our training services offering to CHAMP’s customers and prospects.
General & People Management:
* As a line manager, provide leadership and direction to the teams ensuring successful deliveries and implementations to our customers. The teams are composed of the Project Delivery team, CHAMP Academy team, PMO team, Senior Project Managers and Implementation Consultancy team.
* Grow and nurture a high-performing, high-quality delivery culture within the team
* Set, agree and manage financial and manpower budgets
* Collaborate with and support other CHAMP divisions and stakeholders
* Continually evaluate knowledge and understanding of project delivery processes and practices, and develop and execute plans for improvement
* Represent CHAMP on project governance boards, providing oversight and positive direction
* Plan and achieve the divisional strategy whilst supporting the overall company strategy
* Support CHAMP Commercial organisation in all its commercial objectives.
* Sponsor and own CHAMP’s corporate requirement to manage Cargospot upgrades and a planned and consistent manner
* Travel required: ability to travel to client site on a regular basis as needed
Knowledge, competencies & skills
You will have:
* 3+ years of leading a software delivery or systems implementation unit, group or division
* 5+ years of managing large (> EUR 5m) software delivery or systems implementation projects
* 5+ years of people management and development
* A university degree (or equivalent)
* Formal project management training and certification (PMP certified recommended)
* Excellent written business English and oral communications skills
* Ability to travel worldwide as needed

* Good experience in operating internationally and delivering to a large, diverse customer base
* Good experience of managing a diverse range of 3rd party suppliers
* Good understanding of different software development methodologies
* Good understanding of ITIL aligned software service provision
