We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting logistics, inventory, fleet, contract management and capital maintenance programmes. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with operational stakeholders and influence real business outcomes through high-quality financial insight.
What you’ll be doing as a Finance Business Partner
As a Finance Business Partner, you’ll play a key role in supporting our Renewals & Logistics (R&L) business unit - helping drive financial performance, insight and decision-making across a critical operational area.
You’ll partner with stakeholders across Finance and the business to deliver robust planning, reporting and analysis, ensuring our teams have the insight they need to perform at their best.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Supporting annual budgeting, Integrated Business Planning and quarterly forecasting for gross OpEx
Delivering monthly financial reporting and analysis for senior leadership, including key drivers, trends and actionable insights
Providing clear recommendations to support business decision-making and performance improvement
Acting as a trusted finance partner to operational teams, improving financial awareness and end-to-end processes
Supporting and challenging the business through risk and opportunity analysis
Developing reporting standards, KPIs and models, with a focus on automation and efficiency
Contributing to the financial control framework and ensuring robust reporting processes
Validating and tracking efficiency initiatives, ensuring benefits are accurate and deliverable
Supporting ad hoc analysis, business cases and financial investigations
Maintaining key financial models that underpin planning and performanceBase location: Hybrid - Clearwater Court - RG1 8DB, with occasional travel to other sites for meetings as required
Working hours: 36 hours, Monday to Friday
What you should bring to the role
We’re looking for someone who is analytically strong, commercially aware and confident working with stakeholders across a large organisation.
Essential
The essential criteria to help you succeed in this role are:
Experience in financial planning, forecasting and reporting
Strong analytical capability with the ability to turn data into insight
Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
Experience with financial systems (e.g. SAP, SAC, HFM or similar)
Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively
A collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently and take ownership
Significant experience in a finance or analytical roleDesirable
Accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
Degree-level education in a relevant field
Experience within logistics or operational environments
Exposure to business intelligence tools and data visualisationWhat’s in it for you?
Competitive salary up to £65,000 per annum, depending on experience
Annual Leave - 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service (plus bank holidays)
