Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring
* Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency, consistency, and quality control
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations
* Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
* Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen operations
* Develop new menu items in line with current culinary trends and customer preferences
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and functioning correctly
Skills
* Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant environment
* Supervising experience with strong leadership qualities and team management skills
* Extensive knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
* Strong understanding of food production processes and culinary techniques
* Exceptional communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
* Creativity in menu development coupled with attention to detail in presentation
* Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
