Job Summary
Join the St Helens Council as a newly qualified or experienced Social Worker for our Children We Look After (CWLA) service. The CWLA teams are responsible for care planning, safety and successful outcomes for children in our care long‑term. The service is rated GOOD by Ofsted.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement individualized care plans for children in care.
* Safeguard children and ensure their wellbeing and safety.
* Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to deliver best outcomes.
* Maintain accurate records and report as required.
* Participate in supervision, training and development activities.
* Be based at St Helens offices and attend regularly.
Qualifications and Experience
* Successful registration with Social Work England.
* Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
* Experience or newly qualified social worker with commitment to children's welfare.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
