Overview
Toolroom Manager – Hertfordshire. Commutable from Stevenage, Hitchin, Luton, Biggleswade, St. Neots, Welwyn, Ware, Royston. Salary: £45,000-£50,000.
Our client is a growing SME that specialises in producing high quality injection moulding tooling solutions for various industries. Due to securing further projects and growth within the business they are looking for a Toolroom Manager.
Role & Responsibilities
* A hands-on toolroom manager, leading a team of 15 highly skilled toolmakers
* Manage daily operations, drive efficiency, support new project work
* Operate a range of CNC machinery, EDM machines & injection moulding machines to produce tools
* Plan workloads, delegate tasks, ensure deadlines are met for customers
* Push continuous improvement initiatives across the tooling process
* Wiring hot runner systems
* Manage the manufacture, modification and fitting of injection mould tools
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Role would suit a senior toolmaker or existing manager ready to drive a team during growth
* Strong communicator, with a proactive hands-on approach to problem solving
* Must have a background in injection mould toolmaking
* Highly organised, able to prioritise tasks, meet customer needs
* Skilled in precision machining - using both manual & automated CNC machinery
* Leadership and man-management experience
* Comfortable with technical drawings and tight tolerances
* Experience with wiring hot runner systems and modifications
