Overview
Disability Sheffield Centre for Independent Living is seeking to appoint up to three new trustees to our Board, including the key role of Treasurer. As a Disabled People’s User-Led Organisation (DPULO), we are keen to hear from disabled applicants in particular. LGBTQIA+ and ethnically diverse communities are also currently under-represented on our board, as are younger people, which we are hoping to redress. While people of all professional, voluntary and lived experience backgrounds are welcome to apply, we are particularly looking to add knowledge and experience in the following areas to the board’s current make-up:
* Finance / accounting
* Community engagement, advocacy, empowerment or co-production
* Human resources
* Local government / statutory sector policy and / or politics
If you share our passion and values then we’d love to hear from you. This role will require a basic DBS check.

We support disabled adults to make their voice heard, whether through individual advocacy services or through a range of community networks and activity seeking to ensure disabled people are at the heart of all decision making across Sheffield.
