Overview
We are seeking an organised and motivated Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some accounting experience who wants to develop in a busy, supportive department.
Key Responsibilities
* Processing purchase invoices and matching them to purchase orders
* Raising sales invoices and assisting with credit control
* Maintaining accurate purchase and sales ledgers
* Preparing bank reconciliations
* Processing expenses, card receipts and supplier payments
* Responding to supplier and internal finance queries professionally
* Supporting payroll preparation
* Updating ERP systems and assisting with month-end processes
* General support to the Finance Manager
About you:
* Experience in a finance or accounts role (or AAT Level 2+)
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Confident communicating with suppliers and colleagues
* Good working knowledge of Excel
* Ability to prioritise and work independently when needed
* Eagerness to learn and develop further skills
