Mid Dorset Primary Care Network is seeking dedicated anddriven Pharmacy Team Coordinator. Successful candidates will beresponsible for managing the administrative aspects of supporting our pharmacy team in delivering the Primary Care Network aims and objectives.
This is mainly a non-patient facing role, but youwill need to contact patients via telephone from time to time so a confidenttelephone manner and excellent communication skills are essential.

Main duties of the job
To provide high-quality clerical andmedicines management support to the Primary Care Network Pharmacy Team bycoordinating and processing pharmacy team related tasks across multiplepractices, ensuring safe, efficient, and consistent processes. The post holderwill work collaboratively with GPs, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, andother PCN staff to support patient care.

Although practices still operate independently, workingtogether collaboratively provides wider opportunities and services forpatients.
Job responsibilities
Accurately processinformation in line with practice and PCN prescribing policies.
Proactivelysupport the aims and objectives set out within the Pharmacy Strategy anddelivery of highlighted projects
Liaise withpatients, pharmacies, and clinical staff to resolve medication-related queries.
Work closely withthe PCN pharmacy team to identify and action prescription synchronisation, drugmonitoring, and safety alerts.
Ensure accurateand timely updating of patient records across practice clinical systems
Identify andescalate prescription anomalies or concerns to relevant clinicians.
Provideadministrative assistance to clinical pharmacists in the PCN, including auditsupport and reporting.
Participate intraining and quality improvement projects related to prescribing.
Develop andmaintain systems to support PCN pharmacy projects
Promoteconsistency in prescription handling and contribute to shared learning acrossthe PCN.
Strategic Development
Promoteand embed the Pharmacy team within the multidisciplinary care model.
Contributeto PCN future planning of the Pharmacy Team
Operational Responsibilities

Supportthe use of data to evaluate impact, inform service design and report onpharmacy delivery

Knowledge and Skills
* Excellent attention to detail.

Experience

Qualifications
* Good Standard of Education GCSE Grade A-C in Maths and English
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Business Administration or Customer Service.
