About the role:
To lead, coach, and support the development of the U14 team, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. The coach will be responsible for delivering age appropriate coaching sessions that align with the academy’s philosophy, and long term player development plan.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead the planning & delivery of high quality training sessions for the U14 squad, following the clubs Game model, practice methodology and player development framework.
* Provide individual support for all players to aid their development.
* Lead on matchday planning and delivery, including player selection, match preparation and post game analysis.
* Maintain high professional standards and ensure a positive training and matchday environment.
* Identify and nurture individual talents while ensuring collective team development.
* Maintain effective communication with players, parents/guardians, and other academy staff.
* Plan and deliver on player IAPs (Individual Action Plans) for all players within the U14 squad.
* Attend regular CPD (Continuous Professional Development) events and staff meetings.
* Maintain regular communication with parents, scouts and other stakeholders.
* Performs any other duties as required for the Senior Team & Academy.
Skills and Behaviours required:
* UEFA B Licence (Essential)
* UEFA A Licence (Desirable)
* FA Youth Award (Desirable)
* FA Safeguarding Qualification (Essential)
* FA First Aid Qualification (Essential)
* Postgraduate qualification in relevant subject (e.g. Sport Science/Coaching) (Desirable)
Experience:
* Coaching in Youth football environment
* Strong understanding of age-specific development principles and player profiling
* Experience working with elite youth female athletes (Desirable)
* Previous professional playing experience (Desirable)
* Knowledge of grassroots, school and academy level football
* Excellent observation, evaluation, and communication skills
