We are seeking a dedicated and an experienced Night Wake Officer to join a supportive and nurturing team. Our aim is to create a nurturing environment where children can develop the skills and confidence, they need for day-to-day life. We support children with emotional well-being, health, and social needs, tailoring our care to meet their individual requirements.
As our new Night Wake Officer, you will supervise the residential home while the young people are in their bedrooms during the night and assist in the care and control of young people and to ensure their safety in the home. You will monitor the security of the building and the grounds of the home and observe and report, in writing, on the behaviour and care needs of the young people during the night and undertake regular checks and records these.
The Residential provision is a 24 hour service, applicants for these roles will be expected to work shifts, some weekends, and bank holidays.

This is a hybrid role based in Birmingham so you must have the correct right-to-work documents to work in the UK. Sadly, we do not support those who require sponsorship.

About you:
* To respond to fire alarms and follow the appropriate emergency procedures.
* To undertake the care and supervision of the young people in the home and to ensure their safety during the night.

* Experience working with children with learning disabilities, autism, complex health conditions, and challenging behaviour.
* Strong organisation and time managements skills.
* Excellent communication skills, with experience in using communication aids.
* A compassionate and patient approach, with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
* Ability to work collaboratively with co-workers, a range of professionals and stakeholders.
* Ability to work flexibly, including participation in an “on-call” rota.
