Manchester (Hybrid – 2/3 days in office, Tuesday to Thursday) IR35: Outside Our client has a requirement for a Senior Electrical Designer, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Manchester. Role Purpose: To deliver safe, practical, and cost-effective electrical designs for a major carbon capture project, in line with company procedures, UK legislation, and industry standards. Job Role Responsibilities: Produce drawing office deliverables including: Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) Cable Schedules Material Take-Offs (MTOs) Schematics, BCDs, Equipment and Cable Routing Layouts Check and approve drawings to company procedures. Liaise with other engineering disciplines to ensure integration and quality. Carry out 3D modelling using Navisworks and AVEVA E3D. Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications: ONC / OND / HNC / HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering. 10 years’ engineering/design experience in relevant or similar sectors. Proficient in CAD (3D modelling experience desirable). Strong knowledge of HV and LV electrical design. Familiar with UK legislation and standards. Good understanding of electrical design working practices and installation requirements. Highly motivated, with strong communication and collaboration skills. Safety and risk management focused.
