If so, this exciting new role could be for you! Our client is a global leader in engineering solutions, specializing in precision parts and components used in a wide range of industries. They are looking for a CNC Operator to join their team and make sure they are provide quality products for their customers.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for operating one or more CNC machines
* Responsible for daily machine health check list.
* Interpreting detailed technical drawings and blueprints to create or repair intricate components
* Responsible for stamping own work.
* Report NCR’s. (Non-Conformance Reports).
* Maintain a safe and tidy work environment.
* Participate in training when required.
* Minimise the level of scrap components.
* To mentor and support any new staff or apprentices which are working within the Machine Shop.
* To actively work with the Production Team Leader and Production Manager to establish key delivery dates/requirements.
* Communicate workshop issues to the CNC Setter / Charge Hand’s, and Production Team Leader.
Requirements:
* Relevant experience, training and or qualifications (GCSE’s as a minimum)
* Basic CNC programming and machine competence.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to be able to read and understand engineering drawings.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
* Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Week 1 : 6am – 2pm
Week 2 : 2pm – 10pm

* 37.5 hours per week at £12.90 per hour + £7,785 annual shift allowance
