As MS Sales Development Specialist, this role will focus on supporting the sales team to drive MS opportunities across the South of England. You will be required to work as a team with cross‑functional departments such as the Demo Lab, Service, Sales, Product Management and Marketing to boost Waters MS business in local territories. Your knowledge in Mass Spectrometry, business acumen and working experience in an analytical chemistry lab are key to making Waters Customers Successful. This position would cover the South of England.
Responsibilities
1. Support for the Instrument Sales Team, such as customer co‑visiting, solution presentation, local event coordination, closing MS deals.
2. Local business development and funnel fill activities to maintain MS funnel sufficiency
3. Provide support for pre-sales technical discussions with end users, in support of on-going sales opportunity progression in the area of Mass Spectrometry.
4. Conduct or support local seminars, marketing events and solution demonstrations
5. Plan, localize and implement diversified business development plan according to program codes in related industries.
6. Work closely with sales to achieve and exceed business goals.
7. Team work with Sales, Service, Demo Team, Product Management and Marketing, to develop local MS business and progress existing projects to conclusion.
8. Recording all activities and updates in company CRM system to give 360 view on account activities
Qualifications
Education:
9. Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s, or PhD in a scientific area such as chemistry, biology, or biochemistry
Experience:
10. 3+ years Sales experience
11. 3+ years Mass Spectrometry experience
12. UPLC, Mass Spec, field sales and/or marketing experience is a plus
