About the Job

Join enableCV, a dynamic subsidiary of Edwards Life Sciences, as we expand our global reach in medical device innovation. As a Clinical Specialist, you will support healthcare professionals worldwide, including surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other providers, by introducing, training, and supporting new and existing medical devices. This is a remote/field-based position with significant international travel (up to 60%), and may require periodic visits to regional offices or global meetings. We are a close-knit, agile team that values flexibility, rapid learning, and collaboration to drive growth across diverse markets.

About the Role

* Training: Begin with a comprehensive two-month onboarding program, followed by proficiency assessments at 2, 6, and 12 months.
* Scope: Independently cover IntraClude cases and train surgical & distributor teams on safe and effective device use across assigned international territories.
* Support: Provide clinical product support and guidance to surgical teams, and contribute to physician and sales training programs globally.
* Location: Candidates may reside in the United Kingdom (preferred), Italy, or Germany and must live within one hour of a major international airport.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide clinical case coverage and support sales/marketing initiatives in multiple countries.
* Train surgical & distributor teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and provide real-time verbal support during procedures.
* Develop the Minimally Invasive Surgery, International Clinical Training Programme in line with successful practices used in mature markets.
* Stay current with global perioperative surgical technology practices and hospital policies.
* Develop technical expertise to serve as an educational and clinical resource across cultures and healthcare systems.
* Prepare and maintain equipment/kits for surgeries and trainings in diverse settings.
* Assist in creating training materials and documents tailored for international audiences.
* Troubleshoot equipment according to global standard procedures.
* Deliver procedural training to physicians, nurses, anaesthesiologists, and other medical staff worldwide.
* Ensure compliance with all company policies, including quality standards and ethical interactions with healthcare professionals.
* Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

* High School Diploma/GED or Associate Degree plus 4 years in a clinical specialist or related medical role, preferably in a medical device company; OR
* Bachelor’s Degree plus 2 years in a clinical specialist or related medical role (e.g., Rad. Tech., Surg. Tech.), preferably in a medical device company; OR
* Master’s or advanced medical degree in cardio-thoracic or related discipline (e.g., PA, PA-C).
* International experience in cardio-thoracic, vascular, surgical, or related fields is strongly preferred. Priority may be given to candidates with cardio/clinical experience.

Qualifications

* Ability to read ECG, echocardiogram, and fluoroscopy.
* Experience developing customer relationships and procedural skills in multicultural environments.
* Valid driver’s license (recognised internationally).
* Ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, and lift (up to 25 lbs) as required for global travel and clinical support.
* Operating Room experience (exposure to surgery/surgical procedures).
* Cardio-thoracic, heart valve, or related surgical experience.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in English; additional languages are highly valued.
* Ability to adapt and thrive in fast-paced, cross-cultural environments with a positive attitude.
* Self-motivated, confident, clinically competent, and able to communicate effectively with healthcare providers worldwide.
* Quick learner with advanced knowledge of anatomy and physiology (especially cardiac).
* Passion for improving lives globally, with a willingness to work independently or as part of an international team.
* Calm, confident, and reassuring in high-pressure situations.
* Team player who prioritises collaboration, patient care, and the success of the global team.
* Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain composed in diverse situations.

Compensation

* Competitive base salary plus variable compensation + local benefits package
* Salary includes both base and commission components.
* Salary begins $100,000 USD + $50,000 USD variable comp
