Location: Bromley Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible Start: ASAP
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with additional needs?
Do you have experience supporting students who require tailored, 1:1 learning outside of the mainstream classroom?
Academics are looking for dedicated, empathetic SEN Tutors to support students across Bromley who are currently receiving alternative or specialist education.
About the Role:
As an SEN Tutor, you will:
Deliver 1:1 personalised tuition to pupils with a range of special educational needs (SEMH, ASD, ADHD, MLD, etc.)
Create and adapt learning plans to meet each student's needs
Support academic progress, confidence-building, and emotional wellbeing
Work in varied settings - homes, libraries, community centres, or school-based alternative provisions
Maintain clear communication with Academics, parents/carers, and local authorities
We're Looking For:
Experience with SEN, tutoring, teaching, or support work
A nurturing, calm, and patient approach
Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
Qualified Teachers (QTS), unqualified teachers, learning mentors, teaching assistants, or therapists are all encouraged to apply
Ability to deliver English and/or Maths up to KS3/KS4 level is desirable
