We are a fast-growing business actively seeking 2 separate roles, a Technical Claims handler and the other a Third party intervention handler, we have great opportunities for you to build your knowledge within the Motor Claims industry.
Cavalry Claims Services (CCS) is an innovative and disruptive Third-Party Administrator (TPA). We provide a full end to end claims service for our insurer and MGA clients. Covering all aspects of claim management, understanding our clients' policies and procedures alongside our continual inhouse training programmes and technological advances, ensure we are giving the right service to the customer and relevant stakeholders in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.
Technical Claims Handler Role
We are currently recruiting a dynamic, well organised and experienced Technical Claims Handler in addition to an Intervention handler to join our specialist motor claims team. As the Technical Claims Handler you will be pro-actively managing a claim portfolio of a range of Specialist motor insurance products from notification through to settlement. You will be covering all Heads of Damage such as Accidental Damage inc. Total loss and Thefts, Property Damage and Credit Hire. You will be providing an exceptional level of service and relationship management with all stakeholders.
What you will be doing as
Technical Claims Handler:
* Validate all claims for indemnity and fraud purposes.
* Assess liability quickly and efficiently and provide clear communication of our decision to brokers, policyholders and clients.
* Contact all potential claimants or representatives in a timely manner to establish our exposure in respect of all Heads of Damage, ensuring that key information is obtained and updated on the claim file.
* Accurate quantum assessment and management of claims presented, using the relevant tools available to assist.
* Identify cases where intervening on vehicle losses will reduce overall exposure, utilising resource of specialist motor engineers.
* Ensure indemnity spend is kept to a minimum, referring inhouse and using your own initiative to take commercial decisions.
* Proactive diary management to monitor and progress claims.
* Application and investigation to ensure accurate reserves are in line with our specific clients guidelines, checked and updated at every touch of the claim.
* Accountability for your own performance, against company set objectives.
* Adherence to best practice and key strategies.
* Effective file and portfolio management.
* Any other Ad hoc task as the needs of the business dictate.
What we're looking for as a
Technical Claims Handler:
* Strong motor claims Insurance background with a working knowledge in Indemnity and liability.
* Persuasive, strong and confident communicator with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
* Ability to use your own initiative to explore all options to achieve the best outcome for the business and our clients.
* Motivated self-starter.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Flexibility to be able to assist the business as specific needs may be required.
* Ability to work in a culture of openness, trust, and respect.
* Strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
* Ability to fact find and analyse information to result in accurate decision making.
* Would like but not essential, experience of handling Motor Trade, Fleet, Taxi and/or private lines claims.
Third Party
Intervention Claims Handler:
What you will be doing:
* Making outbound calls with the aim of successfully capturing third parties, to achieve commercial goals.
* Mitigating the cost of your captures by establishing the needs of the third party and following our processes
* Managing your own allocated diary and claim portfolio effectively and efficiently supporting other handlers when required.
* Supporting the follow up process in handling claims and mitigating the claims spend.
* Ensuring all claims are processed with an eye for potential fraud, exaggeration, and indemnity.
* Reviewing claims processes and recommending changes. You will also be highlighting missed opportunities, leakage, and areas for improvement.
* Supporting technical intervention claims matters in respect of questions / escalated customer scenarios and calls/liability referrals etc.
* Supporting and sharing best practice with the team.
Who you are:
* You truly care about the third-party claims journey.
* Previous Motor Claims Handling/FNOL or Third-Party Capture Claims Handling experience within a similar role.
* Tenacious and determined to make successful captures.

* Excellent communicator, selfless and willing to share learnings with your team.
