We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Oakwood, an Category C Prison located in Wolverhampton.
HMP Oakwood is one of the largest prisons in the UK, housing over 1,500 men.
The Pharmacy Team consists of 10 Pharmacy Techs and 2 Pharmacy Assistants.
There are 3 main houseblocks with two dispensaries and three smaller units with one dispensary.

Hours
 * Monday - Sunday service
 * Monday - Friday 7am - 6pm or 7.30pm
 * Weekends - 7.30am - 5.30pm
 * 8 week rolling rota
 * Every other weekend
Salary
This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £29,264 - £33,510 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
What you'll be doing
 * Provide outstanding quality based patient‑centred care to patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
 * Focus on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to agreed standard and SOPs followed to a high, orderly standard.
 * Deliver non‑judgemental care within scope of professional standards, including timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost effective prescribing as defined by the unique Health in Justice medicines policy.
 * You will make a real difference by working as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

 * NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
 * Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
 * Up to date with CPD
 * Relevant post‑qualification pharmacy experience
 * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
 * Able to work unsupervised while following policy and procedures
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
