We are seeking to appoint a motivated Band 6 Deputy Team Leader within the Community Wound Clinic.
The role will involve working within the MDT in the provision of specialist advice and professional nursing care in relation to the tissue viability needs of Wound Clinic patients and to support the Clinic Nurse. The role also involves holistically managing complex therapeutic interventions using-multiple approaches to decision making and wound healing. The post holder will develop and advise on and/or manage a plan of care in association with the patient' to achieve predicted outcomes and considers implications for ongoing care.
This pivotal role focuses on delivering prudent, effective wound care with a commitment to achieving optimal outcomes and promoting timely healing.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for caseload management, and review.
The role will also include the supervision and instruction of unqualified and junior members of nursing staff.
The member of staff would be required to attend training to maintain mandatory skills alongside developing new skills to meet the provision of care required.
The post holder will be responsible for service management and supporting the Team Leader with improving service delivery.

Essential Qualifications & Knowledge
Essential criteria
1. Registered Nurse & current NMC Registration Bachelor’s Degree
2. Specialist post graduate qualification or equivalent experience
3. Proficient level of knowledge in clinical speciality Knowledge of service improvement
4. Able to undertake a literature search and critically appraise research papers

5. Teaching qualification (or equivalent experience)
6. Advanced clinical skills
7. Non-medical Prescribing
