This is an exciting opportunity to be a key player within our strategic leadership team dedicated to serving the communities of two progressive local authorities. We operate with a shared management team and shared service delivery for both Councils
As the Executive Director you will be responsible for steering the strategic direction of a wide range of services, so we are seeking an exceptional individual who can provide the effective leadership which translates strategy to strong operational delivery at the front line.
The Executive Director has responsibility for a vast range of services held within the Directorate including:
* Planning, Leisure and Cultural Services
* Environment and Housing Property
* Community and Housing Tenancy Services
* Regeneration and Property
We are committed to fostering innovation, transparency and inclusivity in all aspects of our operations so you will need to have a range of experience in public service, working closely with elected Members, diverse service leads and community stakeholders.The ability and energy to drive services, projects and initiatives, whilst promoting the wellbeing, advancement and support to our communities is essential.
If you have a proven track record of executive leadership in local government or a related field with a strong emphasis on strategy planning across a range of related services we want to hear from you.
You will need to demonstrate the ability to lead and support multidisciplinary teams, alongside excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
