We are seeking a dynamic, innovative and skilled Design Technology Teacher to join an Outstanding mainstream secondary school in St Albans. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate DT practitioner to deliver high-quality lessons across KS3, KS4 and, where appropriate, KS5, supporting students in developing creativity, technical competence and a strong understanding of design principles.
As a Design Technology Teacher, you will deliver an engaging and practical curriculum that incorporates traditional workshop skills, modern manufacturing processes and design theory. The DT department is exceptionally well resourced, with purpose-built workshops, CAD/CAM facilities, 3D printers, laser cutters and full technician support. The team is collaborative, experienced and committed to delivering excellence.

Experience and Qualifications
* Degree in Design Technology, Product Design, Engineering or related field
* PGCE or QTS
* Experience teaching KS3/4 DT (KS5 desirable)
* Strong workshop skills and awareness of health & safety requirements
* Ability to deliver practical, project-based and theory lessons to a high standard
* Commitment to fostering creativity, problem solving and technical understanding
Salary
