Role Overview:
An opportunity has arisen for an Electrician to join Galliford Try. Reporting to the Site Supervisor/Manager and coordinated by the Project Engineers, you will be responsible for electrical installation and maintenance on Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, Pumping Stations, and general industries such as Mines & Quarrying, Environmental Agency facilities, and Local Authority infrastructure.
This role may require participation in an 'on-call' rota for emergency breakdown attendance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the health & safety of yourself and others.
2. Carry out installations and maintenance to required standards and within deadlines.
3. Complete site documentation as required.
4. Red-line on site 'Issued for Construction' drawings, marking them 'As-Built'.
5. Propose improvements to the Site Supervisor/Manager for better delivery.
6. Verify goods delivered to site match orders.
7. Identify changes to work information and report to the Site Supervisor/Manager.
8. Perform emergency fault finding and diagnostics.
9. Galliford Try provides power tools, a van, career progression, and opportunities for overtime.
Experience and Qualifications:
1. Background in industrial electrical installation and maintenance.
2. Industry-relevant ONC/NVQ/City & Guilds qualification.
3. Experience in water, wastewater, and general industries.
4. Testing & Inspection qualification is an advantage but not mandatory.
5. Knowledge of electrical drawings and schematics.
6. Experience with installation of SWA, Tray, Trunking, Plastic Conduit, etc.
7. Understanding of instrumentation used in water and general industry.
8. Certifications: ECS, SSSTS, Confined Space Training, EUSR (Clean Water Hygiene). Any training gaps will be addressed by Galliford Try.
