NURTURING EYFS SPECIALIST REQUIRED
Working exclusively with a delightful infant school in the heart of Barnet, I am seeking an experienced and passionate EYFS Teacher to join their dedicated early years team.
Having partnered with this school for over five years, I can confirm their exceptional commitment to early childhood development through play-based learning. Their outdoor provision is particularly impressive, offering children rich opportunities for exploration and discovery.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
1. QTS with specific EYFS training/experience
2. Understanding of child development in the early years
3. Ability to create stimulating learning environments
4. Experience with EYFS assessment framework
5. Strong parental engagement skills
This position would suit either an established EYFS practitioner or an NQT with strong placement experience in Reception or Nursery. The school provides excellent mentoring and a collaborative planning approach.

6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
7. Degree level qualification
8. Evidence of continuous professional development in Early Years education
QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRABLE)
9. Early Years specialism in initial teacher training
10. Additional Early Years qualifications (e.g., EYPS)
11. Forest School training
EXPERIENCE (ESSENTIAL)
12. Successful teaching experience in EYFS (either through placements or employment)
13. Experience implementing the EYFS framework
14. Experience of planning and delivering child-initiated learning
15. Experience working with parents/carers to support children's development
EXPERIENCE (DESIRABLE)
16. Experience teaching in Reception class specifically
17. Experience of transition from Nursery to Reception
18. Experience using online learning journals (e.g., Tapestry)
19. Experience working with external agencies
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE (ESSENTIAL)
20. Thorough understanding of child development (0-5 years)
21. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures relevant to Early Years

25. Understanding of phonics teaching in Early Years
