Your new role
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated professional to further develop a career in sustainability consultancy. You'll be supporting projects for building design across a range of sectors including healthcare, residential and education. You split your time evenly between office days (Worcester or Birmingham) and working from home.
Main duties include...
1. Modelling using software such as IES
2. Assisting with carbon footprinting, emissions data collection and analysis
3. Technical input for overheating analysis and thermal loads
4. Achieve BREEAM credits crucial for obtaining BREEAM certifications
5. Conducting research on sustainability trends, regulations and best practice
6. Assisting with the preparation of client reports, presentations and rmendations
7. Engaging with clients and stakeholders as part of project delivery
8. Supporting internal sustainability initiatives and knowledge development
What you'll need to succeed
9. A degree (or equivalent) in sustainable design or a related discipline
10. Proven experience in energy modelling or sustainable design from a building perspective
11. Experience with IES software
12. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
13. Strong written and verbalmunication abilities
14. Highly organised with strong attention to detail
15. Proactive, self-motivated and keen to learn
16. Low carbon / energy assessor training
17. CIBSE accredited (ideally)
