Job Title: Contracts Manager
Reporting to: Construction Director
Location: Wider Central Belt, Scotland
Role:
Fleming Build are a long-established construction company with an excellent reputation for delivering projects between £1m & £10m throughout the wider central belt.
As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of several construction projects, managing all site activities to maximise performance against budget, quality and programme and ensuring the proper implementation of Health and Safety and site procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure project is delivered safely and completed on time and within budget.
* Assist preconstruction team with the preparation of bid deliverables
* Be the key point of contact for all aspects of your projects.
* Develop, plan and manage Contract Programme in accordance with agreed budgets, timescales, and resource requirements.
* Produce and complete Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan prior to contract commencement and monitor development through the course of the project.
* Develop, monitor and review method statements and risk assessments.
* Promote a safety culture on site, ensuring all Health and Safety systems & Regulations are followed, and always maintaining operative awareness.
* Monitor and manage site quality procedures, ensuring problems and technical issues are resolved to Company standard.
* Manage and motivate site operatives to achieve maximum output and standard.
* Coordinate & manage subcontractors to ensure job is fully resourced and completed to the highest possible standards, in line with programme.
* Develop strong relationships and maintain clear communication channels with clients, sub-contractors, and colleagues
* Attend client progress meetings, and manage other site meetings, including preparing and executing action plans.
* Coordinate and distribute all O & M and Health and Safety manuals prior to handover of project.
* Work closely with commercial team, ensuring projects meet commercial targets.
* Monitor all snagging requirements and ensure completion in a timely manner to the satisfaction of the client.
* Arrange and attend post contract meeting to review project performance.
Candidate profile:
* Proactive Construction manager with extensive experience in successful project delivery
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Familiarity with contracting principles with a structured & methodical approach.
* Aptitude with IT Systems & programming software
* Sound understanding of H&S regulations and practice
