We are looking for an outstanding Bank Kitchen Assistant who's passionate about food and wants to make a difference.
You'll be working bank shifts at Cygnet Pindar House, creating an excellent experience for the people in our care.
Cygnet Pindar House is our 22 bed Neuropsychiatric care and treatment service for men affected by acquired brain injuries. It is a safe and secure place to aid recovery as well as offering those diagnosed with a progressive neurological disease like Huntingtons Disease, a caring and longer term placement to support and help manage the progression of their symptoms. The service accepts unplanned, often urgent admissions where a service user requires a safe place to start treatment at the earliest possible time as well as planned admissions.

Your day-to-day...
1. Assist in the preparation of balanced, appetising meals
2. Perform cooking tasks & other kitchen duties
3. Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen, service areas & dining room
4. Wash utensils, dishes & make sure they are stored appropriately
5. Rotate stock & put away all deliveries
6. Maintain personal hygiene to comply with Cygnet standards and food hygiene regulations
7. Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures
8. Use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations

14. Experienced in catering, preferably within a care setting
15. The holder of a food hygiene certificate, with good personal hygiene standards
16. Enthusiastic, keen to learn & an active team member
17. Polite & professional, with a positive attitude at all times
18. An excellent communicator able to liaise with people at all levels
19. Diligent & take pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness
20. Able to work on your own initiative, as part of a team & under supervision
Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
