Overview
Mental Health Advanced Nurse Practitioner - Mental Health (In patient Service) role at NHS Scotland. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
Details
* 1 x permanent post, 37 hours per week, shift pattern will be Monday to Friday 9am–5pm
* Band 7 role that requires a Masters Level qualification; study at Masters level is expected to take 18–24 months to complete. Lower grade appointment is not possible, unless under Annex 21 as a trainee position.
* In line with NHSGGC strategies, the ANP/trainee ANP role offers an opportunity for development of the nursing workforce and transforming roles agenda. Essential to be a first level Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN/RNLD) with current NMC registration and substantial post-registration experience as outlined in the attached Job Description.
Responsibilities
You will work at a senior level of advanced practice with accountability for the complete care of highly complex patients within Adult Mental Health wards. Care and treatments are delivered through a multi-disciplinary team approach in collaboration with partner agencies based on best evidence for practice and person-centred approaches to care that are rights based.
Qualifications
* First level Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN / RNLD) with current NMC registration and substantial post-registration training and experience
* Masters level qualification is required for Band 7 ANP; study at Masters level expected to take 18–24 months
* Eligible for Annex 21 trainee ANP position
