Location: Eastbourne

This role is to support a Woman. The candidate should be a woman*.

Drivers licence required: Yes

Own vehicle needed: Yes

Employment status: employed

Hours per week: 9 hours term time, 6 hours per weekend (2 to 1 use). 12 hours waking night on a Friday. 16 hours during school holidays, with 5 hours at 2 to 1 use and 6 hours at 1 to 1 use.

Hourly pay rate: £12.21

I have complex needs (MedthirteenL syndrome), autism, and gastro paresis. I am non-verbal but have a good sense of humour. I communicate with hand gestures.

The role involves helping me in all aspects of the community and personal care. I enjoy waterplay, walking, sensory activities, drives, and need support with daily routines.


Duties include:

1. Medication prompting/administering
2. Personal grooming
3. Eating and drinking assistance
4. Moving and handling
5. Clinical tasks
6. Shopping
7. Transportation
8. Companionship
9. Dressing/undressing
10. Bathroom assistance


Candidate qualities:

* Respectful of privacy and confidentiality
* Reliable with good timekeeping
* Ability to follow instructions and work independently
* Hygienic, tidy, and well-organised
* Fit and healthy to undertake duties
* Patient with excellent interpersonal skills
* Honest, cheerful, and creative
* Proficient in English
* Comfortable with pets
* Committed to high health & safety standards

The applicant should learn my cues and communication, with assistance from my mum. Willingness to join family outings and adapt to moods is essential. Care experience, a good sense of humour, and leadership ability are preferred.
