Financial Accountant
Location: St. Albans
Reporting to: Head of Finance
Salary: £60k per annum
Type: Full time, HybridDovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in St. Albans.
Role Purpose
Lead the preparation and delivery of year-end annual financial reports.
Ensure accurate and compliant financial accounting across the organisation.
Support the Head of Finance with day-to-day financial operations and key projects.
Responsibilities
Take full responsibility for the production of annual statutory accounts and financial statements.
Manage all aspects of financial reporting and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the integrity of financial data.
Work closely with auditors and act as the main point of contact during audits.
Provide financial insight and analysis to support decision-making across the organisation.
Requirements
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent).
Strong background in financial accounting, with experience leading on year-end annual reports.
Excellent technical knowledge of accounting standards and statutory reporting.
Experience using financial systems - knowledge of Iplicit would be highly desirable.
Strong communication and organisational skills
