Data Security Engineer Hybrid Working Amtis is pleased to be recruiting for a Data Security Engineer to join a brilliant company, operating in a flexible hybrid working model, with offices in multiple locations across the UK. Role Responsibilities: Develop and implement the company's data security and governance strategy in collaboration with data and privacy teams. Design and maintain a framework for data discovery, classification, access control, and monitoring to prevent unauthorized data access or leaks. Conduct risk assessments and threat modelling, and support secure code reviews with development teams to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities. Create and maintain security standards and guidelines tailored to different teams, promoting reusable and scalable security practices. Advise development teams on secure coding practices and how to address security flaws effectively. Ensure compliance with regulations such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and GDPR by working closely with legal and privacy departments. Requirements: Essential: Minimum 3 years of experience working with data applications and services, including 2 years in software development. Strong understanding of data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and experience implementing compliance measures. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, GoLang, or Rust. Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., SCRUM) and the ability to manage multiple security-related projects. Desired: Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and maintain high attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
