About Hinkley Point C
The first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years; Hinkley Point C in Somerset will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy.
Marking a significant milestone in the revitalisation of our nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C will make a major contribution to the UKs move to reduce carbon emissions. The electricity generated by its two EPR reactors will offset 9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year, or 600 million tonnes over its 60-year lifespan.
What you'll be doing
As a Electrical Permits & Authorisation Lead, you will have the following accountabilities.
* MEH Alliance Joint Venture Electrical Permitting S
* Complete Electrical Permit Templates
* Electrical Permit Management
* Supporting with the selection and recruitment of the Authorising Engineers, Authorised Persons, and Competent Person.
* Development of training requirements to support the safe delivery of the MEH Alliance Joint Venture electrical scope in relation to permitting, lock out, testing and energisation.
* Development of any further training requirements to support the safe delivery of the MEH Alliance Joint Venture electrical scope in relation to HPC.
Who we're looking for
Do you have?
* Qualified in an electrical engineering capacity / discipline, with a proven track record, and in-depth experience of delivering large technically complex infrastructure projects.
* Experience of managing people, and the successful creation and execution of project level strategies and teams.
* Working knowledge of IT and digital processes.
* Experience in the management of complex, high fault level electrical systems inclusive of high voltage networks.
* Shall have an in-depth working knowledge of electrical energy systems.
* Shall hold a valid CSCS / ECS card or equivalent.
* Ability to obtain a high-level security clearance
