1. Basic Salary: Up to £43,290 (DOE)

Our client, a reputable and busy HGV Service & Repair Centre in Southampton, is seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile HGV / LCV Technician to join their dedicated team. This role involves working on a diverse fleet of vans, trucks, and trailers, with opportunities to carry out roadside, breakdown, and workshop repairs. Duties of a Mobile HGV / LCV Technician with our client:
12. Servicing and repairing a variety of commercial vehicles, including vans, trucks, and trailers
13. Diagnosing faults using advanced electronic diagnostic tools and software
14. Carrying out repairs such as brake, clutch, and timing belt replacements
15. Engine and gearbox dismantling, repair, and reassembly
16. Making accurate estimates for repairs and advising customers on work needed
17. Working both in the workshop and on mobile service vans, with travel involved
18. Maintaining high standards of safety and vehicle quality throughout all work
19. Communicating effectively with team members and customers to ensure smooth operations
What our client expects of their HGV / LCV Technicians:
20. Fully qualified up to NVQ Level 3 or 2 or equivalent (time-served candidates also considered)
21. Recently qualified candidates considered
22. Proven experience with HGV, LCV and commercial vehicle repairs
23. Strong diagnostic skills, particularly with electronic systems
24. Class 1 or Class 2 HGV licence is beneficial but not essential
25. Good organisational skills and attention to detail
26. Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently and within a team
27. Flexibility with working hours, including early starts and mobile work
28. Driving licence essential for mobile site work
